WARRINGTON Hockey Club had a triumphant weekend with all three teams recording comfortable wins and notching up 17 goals between them.

The women’s first team overcame Division Two leaders Deeside 4-0 to move into top spot.

Emma Barlow broke the deadlock shortly before half time with a well-worked short corner.

Warrington raised their game in the second half and moved into a commanding lead thanks to Steph Rawlins’ goal-scoring instinct bringing her a hat-trick.

Sally Fraser and Jayne Wood put in strong performances, linking up well with Kate Connolly as she controlled the midfield.

Adam Garrod recorded a hat-trick and Ben Vickers scored twice as the men’s first team got back to winning ways with a 5-0 victory at Urmston.

The women’s second team, with an impressive record of 63 goals scored and 11 conceded, secured an 8-0 win at Whitchurch's seconds.

Goals came from all positions courtesyy of Laura Page, Vicky Stout, Molly Rudd, Becky Miller, Emma Frew, Jess Palmer, Tish Collins and an own goal.The team have scored 63 goals so far this season and conceded just 11.
