ALL of Warrington and District Motor Club's rally drivers were forced to retire at Oulton Park in the Neil Howard Stages Rally at the weekend.
In it’s third year at Oulton Park, the rally had become more entertaining for the spectators and drivers alike with the water splash and a mild jump included in the nine stages held on a variety of the circuit and service roads.
Peter Quigley and Mark Dixon in a Peugeot 205 started well and at one stage were in 35th place, but an engine misfire held them back until they finally retired after Stage 6.
Jonathan Comer and Stephen Landen in a Mitsubishi Evo 6 fared slightly better with very good stage times but retired after Stage 7.
Finally, Philip and George Jennings in a BMW Compact looked to be in with a chance to finish until suspension failure on the very last stage sadly ended their hopes for the day.
