BILLY Burlinson held his nerve to collect the chalks Cheshire needed to secure victory at the British Veterans’ County Championship.
The Woolston ace was last on the green at Golborne in a decider against South Yorkshire, helping his side to a two-point victory on aggregate.
K&Q’s Ray Goodhand was also part of the Cheshire team that had recorded wins against Staffordshire, by 31 chalks, and Merseyside earlier in the day.
