THELWALL'S Aidan Collins remains one point off top spot in the British Flattrack Championships standings following a pair of third-place finishes at Amman Valley at the weekend.
The Honda rider Collins found conditions tough during the series fourth and fifth rounds, finishing second in heat races on Saturday and Sunday.
The final results were the same on both days, Oliver Brindley taking the chequered flag ahead of Italian rider Francesco Cecco Cecchini with Collins – suffering from a lack of speed – in third.
The overall standings see him one point behind Brindley heading to the final round at Rye House next month.
