A PAIR of Warrington athletes progressed from their heats on the second day of the World Youth Games in Colombia.
Harriet Knowles-Jones booked her spot in Saturday’s 1,500m final despite finishing eighth in what was by the far the quickest of the two heats in Cali.
She clocked 4mins 25.19secs to keep her medal hopes alive.
Carys McAulay comfortably qualified for the 800m semi final, which takes place at 00.30am tomorrow, with a 2mins 06.6secs taking her to a second place finish behind Ethiopia’s Gadese Ejara.
