LUCY Glover will join an elite list of Warrington Rowing Club members when she competes for Great Britain in Coupe de la Jeunesse at the start of August.
She will race in the quad in the junior 18 category in Szeged, Hungary.
The only previous Warrington rowers to compete at this level were Olivia Oakes and Helen Brown.
Glover gained selection at the GB trials at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham, winning a number races to impress selectors.
She will compete against 11 other European countries.
The trials were held at the same time as the GB versus France match, with Glover given permission to leave on Saturday to go to London to race on Sunday.
The club's Junior 15 squad sent a couple of boats to Burton Regatta on The River Trent.
The boys' quad of Tom Carroll, Connor Guerin, Matt Baguley, Alastair Eaves and cox Joe Baguley came up against North Staffs RC in their first race.
Keeping their technique neat and tidy they were able to get over the line with a healthy lead.
The final was a closer race against Pengwern Rowing Club, but the boys came home victorious with a winning margin of one length.
