WARRINGTON motorcycle racers Greg Lewis and Scott Darnton were in action at Oulton Park in the extremely slickly run Thundersport GP Championship races at the weekend.
Scott Darnton on his 1,000cc Yamaha was in the Thundersport GP1 races, a very fast race with average lap speeds of 90mph.
Starting from near the back of the grid, consistency was the key and he finished in nineteenth in both races but more importantly, giving him a third and a fourth finish for his class (out of twelve starters).
Greg Lewis on his 750cc Yamaha was racing in the Golden Era Superbike races and after starting the first race from seventh had got up to a very good fifth by the chequered flag.
The second race did not go so well after he had got up to fourth, when he pulled into the pits to retire on lap four.
