A WARRINGTON schoolgirl proved age was no obstacle when winning a tournament at Runcorn’s Sutton Hall Golf Club.
Zoe Hatcher, from Grappenhall, shot a net 67 to win the Professionals Trophy, despite being one of the youngest competitors at the age of 11.
It made the 31-handicapper the youngest competitor to win the competition.
The Thelwall Junior School student has been playing golf for three years and, along with older sister Bethany has represented Cheshire Girls.
Thirteen-year-old Lymm High School student Bethany has also enjoyed success, winning another of the club’s majors this season and being named junior captain.
The pair have lessons with Robin Carroll, professional at Antrobus Golf Club.
