WARRINGTON racing drivers were out in force at Oulton Park this weekend.
Adam Burgess, driving a Ford Escort XR3i, and Mark Noble in a Ford Fiesta Si had entered the two Ford XR Challenge Races.
Burgess had the better day, gaining an eighth overall (second in class) and a 10th (first in his Class) while Noble (the sole entry in his Class) had problems in both races and gained a 28th and 21st overall.

Normally front running brothers David and Tom McArthur were competing in two races for the Formula Ford 1600 National Championship for post 1989 cars with very mixed results.
Both drivers found the competition extremely tough but Tom gained the upper hand over David gaining a fourth and seventh overall in the two races.
Older brother David had been in the lead in race one until an excursion onto the grass left him ending that race in 16th.
For race two, he suffered significant damage from a collision on lap two while in second place and that was his race over.
