A WARRINGTON golfer is one step away from an appearance in the Lombard Trophy at Gleneagles.
Tony Taylor and, who joines Poulton Park PGA Professional Freddy Taylor, teed up a chance to tread the fairways of the PGA Centenary Course in September when he won his club qualifying competition with a net score of 67.
The 58-year-old dad-of-two, who plays off a handicap of 13, now advances to the regional final at Formby Golf Club on June 9.
He and Taylor will compete against up to 70 other clubs for the chance to secure one of 16 prized spots available for the 36-hole grand final.
