BROTHERS David and Tom McArthur have put into gear another season of head-to-head racing.
David holds the bragging rights after the first two Formula Ford 1600 Northern Championship contests of 2015 at Oulton Park at the weekend.
In the first race the Rixton pair swapped second and third places a few times, with David coming out on top by the flag to take second while Tom was third.
David grabbed the lead early on in the second race and until lap five held off Tom, who surrendered the advantage back to his brother four laps later.
While Tom went into the gravel on the last corner of the last lap, David won the race.
In the XR Challenge Championship races, Andrew Lennie - in a Ford Escort XR3i - battled from 19th to finish eighth overall in the second race to win his class and gain the fastest lap time.
Chris Hamer, also in an XR3i, came 11th in both races, and Mark Noble - in a Fiesta Si - was 12th and 13th.
