JUNIOR Warrington rowers will represent the north west at the inter-regional finals this month after a successful outing at Eton.

Warrington Rowing Club’s J14 coxed quad and J15 B squad took silver medals at Olympic venue Dorney Lake in the Oarsport National Junior Scullers Head 2015, while the women’s J17 B crew came home with a gold.

The results mean 16 of the club’s rowers will compete for the region at the National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham.

Megan Dunbavand coxed a crew of Angus Stewart, Joshua Critchley, Michael Lee and Angus Wooler to the J14 silver, while the J15 B coxed quad was crewed by Oliver Houghton, Louis Molloy, Connor Guerin, Jonathan Acton and coxed by Lucy Grace.

The gold medal-winning women’s J17 B was rowed by Rachel Ozsanlav-Harris, Grace Rooney, Sarah Whiteley and Megan Dunbavand.

Close to the medal positions were the women’s J17 A crew, fourth, and the J15 A crew, also fourth, boats rowed by Ayesha Wooler, Pippa Curran, Gina Tarpey, Lucy Stanhope, Georgie Richards, Matthew Baguley, Tom Reed, Tom Carroll and Alistair Eaves.
