WOOLSTON Rovers entertain Heworth in the Kingstone Press National Conference League Premier Division on Saturday looking to build on a great start.
Kick off is 2.30pm at Monks Sports Club, Hillock Lane.
There were some positive signs in the opening 36-16 win against Waterhead and head coach John Fieldhouse will be looking to get another victory under his belt this weekend.
He said: “I was very happy with the first 25 minutes where we built up a very healthy lead but then we only completed one out of nine sets in the remaining half and that allowed Waterhead to get back into the game.
“We were still scrappy in parts after half time but the forwards were outstanding. I am very happy with the victory and our defensive effort.
“We are still a work in progress but we are going in the right direction.”
