TOM Murray tees off in the Joburg Open in South Africa tomorrow, Thursday, seeking improvement on last week’s European Tour outing in New Delhi.

The 25-year-old Lymm golfer, who will be joined by Birchwood’s Phil Archer in a strong field at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club, missed the cut and prize money after two rounds of 76 left him 10 over par and tied 120th in the Hero of India Open.

On this, his debut Tour, Murray’s best display so far came in the South Africa Open last month when finishing joint 62nd.

He heads on to the green at 6.35am (UK time) tomorrow, while Archer sets out at 8am.
