WARRINGTON had a high scoring weekend, netting 14 times between their three games.

The men’s first team continued their unlikely run of high scoring draws with a 3-3 finish at Lancaster.

Rob Powell found the back of the net from open play before Ben Vickers and Mike Jones scored from short corners.

THE men’s seconds were the biggest winners, demolishing Deeside 6-0 at home.

Gavin Brown set them on their way, with AJ Edwards, two, and Geoff Stott extending the lead, before a penalty stroke from Mark Hooper and a bullet-like effort from Richard Taylor completed the rout to keep Warrington pushing for promotion.

THE women’s firsts also had a comfortable win with a 5-1 victory over Alderley Edge thirds.

Leading scorer Steph Rawlins was on fire, netting four times with her accurate and powerful finishes.

Sally Fraser added a fifth goal after a great passing move which started between Vicks Pollard and Carrie Wright in defence.

Louise Sullivan was voted player of the match for her tireless running.

TWO second-half goals from Lymm seconds snatched a hard-fought 3-1 win over Chester thirds.

The half time score was a disappointing 1-1 with Lymm having opened the scoring after a well-executed set piece short corner and captain Katy Arber taking the final touch.

Lymm were caught sleeping and Chester equalised with the home side’s defence trailing.

In the second half Lymm regained their advantage with Ellie Anderson reacting to the rebound.

After a number of close shots and crosses, the home team eventually got a third goal through Alison Fearn.
