LYMM made it 14 wins from 14 games with victory over bottom side Didsbury Northern in North West Women’s League Division Two South West on Saturday.

Ashleigh Jackson looked dangerous and made inroads down the left to play in Megan Wilkin and Nat Riley.

Helen Weston made great searching runs to clear space for midfielders Hollie Aklam and Lisa Hartley-Woodrow to drive in to.

The first goal came from a short corner, resulting from excellent individual play from player-of-the-game Jackson.

The short corner was executed straight from the training ground, with Alex Pepper drag flicking the ball into the net before doubling her tally with a back foot strike into the corner of the goal.

The goals kept on coming, with Hartley-Woodrow beating three approaching players and slamming the ball into the net before Wilkin added a fourth before half time.

In the second half, Lymm netted another two goals from Williams before Riley finished off the scoring.

LYMM remain second on goal difference after their latest Cheshire Women’s League Division Two win over Golborne.

Helen Senior was the first to score, picking up a rebound from a short corner strike.

Senior’s goal was followed shortly after by a tip-in from a short corner by Nadeen Roe after a strong strike from captain Katy Arber.

Triton 2 Warrington 4

WARRINGTON leapt above opponents Triton into fifth place in Cheshire Women’s League Division Two courtesy of Saturday’s success.

Emma Barlow claimed a hat-trick with Louise Sullivan also netting for the visitors and a player-of-the-match performance from Sally Forget.

The women’s second team lost 3-2 at home to South Cheshire despite goals from Hannah Gordon and Vicky Stout.

Cheetham Hill 4 Warrington 4

WARRINGTON came back from 3-0 down at half time to draw with Cheetham Hill on Saturday.
