WARRINGTON golfer Tom Murray matched his second day score and fell further down the leaderboard in the South Africa Open Championship today.

The Lymm 24-year-old went round Johannesburg's Glendower Golf Club course in 76 shots, leaving him five over par and tied 63rd going into the final day's play.

He achevd par on 13 holes, but a double bogey on the 401-yard ninth was costly, as were the shots he dropped on the fifth, 11th and 12th.

Murray dropped from tied 10th to level 44th after finishing the second round with four over par.

He had managed three under on Thursday when an eagle on the second hole, a 557-yard par three, set the tone.

Current leader Charl Schwarzel is 13 under and the only player in the tournament to keep each of his scores below 70.

Play continues tomorrow.
