Greenalls PSO 1 Linotype Cheadle HN 4

RYLANDS will be Warrington’s only representatives in Cheshire Football League’s JB Parker Challenge Cup semi finals after Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds joined Eagle Sports in bowing out at the last-eight stage.

Greenalls crashed out at home to Linotype Cheadle HN on Saturday, while in previous weeks Eagle lost 2-1 to Crewe FC and Rylands defeated Pilkington 2-0.

Greenalls were 1-0 down at half-time and their only goal came through Lee Vaughan in the second half, among three more for the visitors.

Greenalls will be hoping for improved fortunes when they continue their defence of the Guardian Cup at home to Warrington and District League side Haydock on Saturday, when the third-round tie will kick off at 2pm at the Carlsberg Tetley Club, Long Lane.
