WARRINGTON Athletics Club’s Harriet Knowles-Jones finished second on her debut racing in England colours in Spain on Sunday.
Knowles-Jones, who has represented England at a schools' international, impressed at the Cross de Atapuerca in Burgos with a time of 13mins 25secs.
The Warrington runner broke free from her rivals to cross the line behind teammate Lydia Turner who won the junior women's race in 13mins 7secs.
The England team of four made it a clean sweep with Jennifer Nesbitt and Tessa McCormick following Knowles-Jones in third and fourth respectively.
