Huddersfield YMCA 36 Lymm 19

LYMM were beaten at Huddersfield in the National League Three North on Saturday after going 12 points ahead early on.

Lymm hooker Ross White opened the scoring for his side after 11 minutes with Cormac Nolan converting the kick before fly half Joe Knowles put the visitors into a 12-point lead after 26 minutes.

Despite the solid start, Lymm began to get stretched by the home side and found themselves two points down at the break after two converted tries late on in the first half.

Huddersfield started the second half as they finished the first and two quick tries saw Lymm facing defeat and trailing by 12 points.

Andy Rowley restored hope for Lymm when he chipped through from the right wing and touched down from an attacking line out.

With the deficit reduced to five points, both sides were pushing for the win in the dying minutes before an attacking scrum resulted in a penalty try awarded to the home side and completed the defeat for Lymm.
