Lymm 2nd 55 Blackburn 2nd 12
LYMM delivered their best performance of the season as they swept past league leaders Blackburn 55-12 in Standish Media Services Division One.
Lymm thought they were in for a tough afternoon when the top-of-the-table side took the lead almost immediately through an unconverted try, but that would be the last time the visitors enjoyed the advantage.
Tries from Mark Wells, Jack Whorton and Joe Cooper, as well as two penalties from Tom Shard, put Lymm 27-5 in front at the break.
Further scores from James Yates, two, Aaron Rashid and Sam Gough rounded off a superb performance for Lymm seconds.
