Sefton 2nd 5 Warrington 3rd 31

WARRINGTON thirds maintained their winning ways with a Division Two South victory at Sefton on Saturday.

Warrington opened the scoring through veteran winger Paul McKay before Charlie McIlroy stormed over 10 minutes later and set Matt Drinkwater up for the conversion.

The visitors went into a commanding lead shortly before half time when newcomer John Woolston showed exceptional pace to touch down between the posts, with Drinkwater adding the extras.

Warrington kept up their relentless pressure throughout the second half and were rewarded with tries from Craig Byrne and debutant Pat Thorne.
