CHESHIRE Wire Green’s under 13s National Basketball League season got off to a slow start with a heavy 92-26 defeat in their first home game of the campaign.
Cheshire Wire under 18s had a better day, winning their first game of the season at Killamarsh in Derby with one second remaining and from three points down.
Max Jones was fouled while taking a three-point shot and scored all three free throws to put the game into extra time.
The Warrington side went on to win by seven points in extra time.
