ST ELPHINS are the Warrington Public Parks' Bowls League champions.

Their 219-162 victory over Stockton Heath No3 included Brian Lewis’ 21-10 sweep winning card.

John Summerfield won 21-10 for the visitors.

Victoria New Town finish second following a 194-163 success against Penketh Park, Dennis Aldred, 21-7, and Alan Davies, 21-11, the top winners. John Bostock took the visitors’ sweep 21-7.

Wins from Ted Green, 21-10, and Geoff Wright, 21-12, helped Stockton Heath No2 record a 186-182 victory over Victoria. Alan Steele replied with a 21-11 win.

Stockton Heath defeated St Elphins No2 by 184 chalks to 176, Barry Hayes’ 21-9 and John Corless’ 21-15 the best winners. Andy Eden and Terry Hillen shared the visitors’ sweep with 21-9 cards.
