GLAZEBURY ended their cup-winning season on Saturday with defeat to Wilmslow, whose win secured them promotion from the Cheshire Alliance Division Two.
Wilmslow declared on 208 for 4 in 40 overs with Kyle Keeble taking 2 for 45 for Glazebury, while Tom Wilkinson and Jack Warhurst were the other wicket-takers.
After tea the hosts continued their momentum as Glazebury struggled to 83 for 9, Wayne Hargreaves made a 27.
There was a flourish from Gibbons, 38, and Morgan, 23, as they added 68 runs for the final wicket before Morgan’s stumping brought an end to proceedings on 151 all out.
The 49-run defeat completed a below-par season for Glazebury, whose highlight came in the CCA Cup Final triumph last month.
