Wigan St Pats 30 Culcheth Eagles 10
CULCHETH Eagles dropped down the North West Men’s League Division Two after defeat at Wigan St Pats sent the hosts above them into second.
Eagles took an early after a chip from James Wilde bounced away from the St Pats defender in goal for Dominic Rainford to pounce on.
However St Pats kicked on and found themselves 18 up at the break.
Culcheth clawed back soon after the restart when Chris Pleavin went over, but despite the second half being a much closer affair, Wigan’s defence held strong to claim the victory and move ahead of Eagles in the league.
