WARRINGTON were invited to bat on an April wicket after a steady start of 29 between skipper Richard Heaney, 12, and Chris Kirby, 18, followed by a promising stand of 37 between Ashley Scholes, 23, and Liam Heaphy, 19, the rest of the batting collapsed as Warrington were bungled out for 89 in only 35 overs.

Weaverham were made to fight for victory as Kyle Adams 3 for 42 and Ashley Scholes 2 for 20 tested the home side but with such a low total to defend Weaverham crossed the line with four wickets spare.

WARRINGTON inserted Timperley aided by some steady bowling from Isaac Webster 1 for 18, Simon Swain 1 for 29 and Joal Chaderton 1 for 31.

Brendan Morris came on late to close the visitors innings with 3 for 25 with a respectable total of 171 for 9.

After the loss of an early wicket Will Fleetwood, 37, and James Lewis, 30, put on 71 for the second wicket this was followed by a 50 partnership between Brendon Morris, 32, and Vikram Palanisamy, 37 not out, to see Warrington home with a six-wicket victory.
