Bank Quay Bulls 50 Halton Farnworth 10
BANK Quay finally got back to winning ways in the NWML Premier Division with a nine-try mauling of Halton Farnworth.
The game started slowly for Quay who were defending for the best part of the opening 15 minutes, but tries from Ryan Brown, Kiel Hillman and Phil Braddish, the latter converted by Glyn Roberts, saw them take a 14-0 lead on 25 minutes.
Halton did respond through Dave Laughton and a Rob Conroy conversion but it was Quay who had the last say of the half when Ste Bird crashed over and Roberts added the extras to make 20-6 at half time.
The opening minutes of the second half saw tries exchanged with Hillman scoring his second, Roberts again with the extras, Callum Edwards scored in the corner, from this point it was one way traffic with further tries coming from Ste Bird, Phil Braddish, Eddie Vaughan and Sean Boyle, Roberts converting them all.
Best for Quay were Eddie Vaughan, Phil Braddish and Sean Boyle.
