SHAUN Reid gained his first point as Town boss at Shawe View on Tuesday night.

Captain Mike Tomlinson, Kyle Hamid and Liam Shipton returned to the starting line-up.

A bright start faded as heavy rain and strong winds took its toll, with Trafford scoring the only goal of the first half.

Town were reduced to 10 men when Hamid was shown a second yellow card.

However, Town equalised through Rob Hardwick and went in front when Dale Wright capitalised on a foul on Hardwick to rifle home a free kick from 25 yards.

The game finished all square despite Paul Pritchard saving a Joe Shaw penalty and the rebound before Michael Oates slotted in.

Town: Pritchard, N Jackson, Roberts, Kinsella, M Jackson, Tomlinson, Reid, Thompson (Wright 63), Hardwick, Hamid, Shipton. Subs not used: O'Brien, Glass, Tom Williams, Anderson.
