WARRINGTON Town’s match against Radcliffe Borough was one of the many casualties of Saturday’s freezing conditions in the Evo-Stik Division One North.
Joey Dunn’s men are still unbeaten in 2012, holding a record of three wins and two draws from five games, and they will be keen to continue this excellent start to the new year with a successful trip to Trafford on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
A win on the road in Trafford will help them bridge the four-point gap between the two sides in the division, though the Yellows will need to maintain their run of good results far into March and beyond if they are to mount any serious assault on the promotion places.
Town have nine points to make up on Farsley FC in fifth, but picking up six points against Trafford on Saturday and Lancaster City at Cantilever Park on Tuesday, kick off 7.45pm, will keep them on track.
Warrington Town’s youth team suffered a similar setback at the weekend, missing out on their home game against Prescot Cables.
Town’s Youth set-up still has plenty to be pleased about, however, moving up to sixth in the North West Youth Alliance Premier Division in recent weeks and seeing two youngsters included in Warrington Town’s first team squad against AFC Fylde and Wakefield.
They will hope to continue their climb up the table with a win against Altrincham at Cantilever Park on Sunday, kick off 2pm.
Entry to youth team games is free and all are welcome.
