WARRINGTON Town embark on a busy Bank Holiday weekend today, with two fixtures in just three days.
Paul Carden’s side host Matlock Town this afternoon before making the short trip to Marine on Monday, kick off 3pm for both games.
Yellows go into the weekend sitting seventh in the Evo-Stik Premier Division table after a 1-0 home defeat to Ashton United on Tuesday, their first defeat of the season.
TEAM NEWS:
CARDEN expects midfielder Sean Williams to play some part over the weekend after sitting out Tuesday’s game with a foot injury.
A pain-killing injection did not quite take hold in time for Williams to be involved on Tuesday but he is set for a quick return.
However, fellow midfielder Liam Hynes is set for a long spell out after injuring his knee during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Coalville Town.
Ged Kinsella was on the bench against Ashton but is set to play for the reserves next week in order to build match fitness ahead of a first-team return.
Shaun Beeley and Jack Higgins (knee) are nearing returns but are not quite ready for selection.
A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITION:
Matlock Town
A TOUGH proposition awaits Warrington today in the shape of Matlock Town, who arrive at Cantilever Park having not lost any of their first four games.
The Gladiators have won both of their home games, against Hednesford and Stourbridge, and have drawn on the road at Stourbridge and Sutton Coldfield so far.
Striker Shaun Harrad has also started the season in good form with three goals to his name already.

Marine
MONDAY’S trip to Marine sees Yellows face a side that, before Saturday’s games, had enjoyed a mixed start to the season.
They have won two and lost two of their opening four games after starting the campaign with a 5-0 drubbing at Grantham Town.
However, they have recorded impressive 2-0 wins at home to Workington and away to Stalybridge either side of a 1-0 home loss to Barwell.
