WARRINGTON Town’s unbeaten start to the new Evo-Stik Premier Division season faces its latest test tonight as they welcome Ashton United to Cantilever Park.

Yellows are one of four sides to have collected seven points from their opening three matches and were top of the league until Stourbridge overtook them with a 1-1 draw with Nantwich on Monday night.

Their latest success came on Saturday with a 3-0 victory at Coalville Town, thanks to goals from Sean Williams, Tony Gray and Josh Hine.

TEAM NEWS:

PAUL Carden’s only new injury worry ahead of the game is midfielder Liam Hynes, who limped out of Saturday’s game with a knee injury.

He will sit out tonight and the club are waiting for the swelling to go down before sending Hynes for a scan to determine any further damage.

A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITION:

ASHTON United arrive at Cantilever Park in confident mood having recorded their first win of the season on Saturday.

Mark Lees’ last-minute winner earned them a 2-1 victory over Grantham Town, who had won both of their games prior to the contest.

United had drawn both of their first two games 1-1, away at Hednesford and at home to Farsley Celtic.
