WARRINGTON Town have signed their second striker in a week after Josh Hine arrived from Salford City.

The 26-year-old hitman has been with Salford for 18 months having joined from Chorley for an undisclosed fee.

Hine now becomes Paul Carden’s second summer signing at Cantilever Park, following experienced striker Tony Gray’s arrival.

The striker, who had a brief loan spell with Yellows in 2013, has a proven goalscoring record with the likes of Skelmersdale United and Southport in his earlier career.

“Scoring goals was an issue we had for large parts of last season and so we have moved quickly to address this issue,” Yellows chairman Toby Macormac said "Josh, like Tony, is a proven goal scorer at this level and we're pleased to have got them both."

Hine will join his new teammates when they report back for pre-season training on July 1.

One player who will not be joining them is midfielder Michael Monaghan, who has joined Evo-Stik First Division North outfit Trafford.
