WARRINGTON Town’s season has reached the ‘make or break’ stage as they make the long trip to Whitby Town today.

Following a 2-1 defeat to Stafford Rangers last time out, Yellows cannot afford to lose this game if they are to keep alive their hopes of finishing inside the Evo-Stik Premier Division’s play-off places.

Indeed, should Whitby be victorious, Town’s top-five hopes could end if results do not go their way.

A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITION:

WHITBY welcome Paul Carden’s side to The Turnbull Ground looking to stretch their unbeaten league run to 10 matches.

The Seasiders have been an intimidating force at home and have lost only four times on their own patch this season.

Only champions Blyth, second-placed Spennymoor and sixth-placed Buxton have lost fewer home games than Chris Hardy’s side this season.

ONES TO WATCH:

Whitby Town – Dale Hopson: The striker has proved a regular source of goals for Whitby having struck 24 times in the league this season.

Only Stourbridge’s Luke Benbow and Blyth’s Dan Maguire have scored more than Hopson as he hopes to fire his side into the play-offs.

Warrington Town – Michael Bakare: Paul Carden says new man Bakare is all about “raw pace and power” after he made his debut in the defeat to Stafford.

Having played in the Conference earlier this season, the well-travelled striker’s experience could be key in such a young squad.
