WARRINGTON Town continue their assault on the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-offs tomorrow when they welcome Hednesford Town to Cantilever Park, kick off 3pm.

After a midweek win for Spennymoor Town, who they host on Tuesday, Paul Carden’s side sit fifth in the table ahead of the game.

With four sides separated by just two points, the race to finish in the league’s top five is intensifying.

A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITION:

HEDNESFORD are the visitors to Cantilever Park and they have seen their own play-off challenge fade in recent weeks.

They had been a contender up until the turn of the year, but inconsistent form has dropped them down the table.

The Pitmen arrive in Cheshire sitting 14th, 10 points adrift of Yellows with nine league games remaining.

Hednesford have put together a mini run away from home and are unbeaten in their last three league games on the road.

YELLOWS were denied a third league win in a row as a crazy period just before half time decided the contest at Keys Park.

First, Ashley Sammons fired home a 42nd-minute penalty to give the Pitmen the lead before Mitch Duggan was sent off for a two-footed tackle right on the interval.

This was Yellows’ team that day:

McMillan, Duggan, McKeown, Ventre, Robinson, McCarten, Codling (A Carden 46), Toner (Kinsella 58), Hattersley, Iselamni (Metcalfe 77), Harries. Subs not used: Shaw, Kilheeney.
