PAUL Carden hopes to end a wait to celebrate his first win since being appointed as Warrington’s manager this weekend.

Fellow play-offs hopefuls Rushall Olympic, opponents with whom Yellows shared four goals last month, are their guests in a rearranged Evo-Stik Northern Premier League fixture on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

A trip to Ashton United, for an Integro League Cup first-round tie, follows on Tuesday night.

And the Town boss has reason to feel optimistic after watching his side, which included two new recruits in the starting line-up along with returning Craig Robinson, come from behind to earn a draw at in-form Stafford Rangers on Saturday.

Robinson is back at the club as assistant manager following a spell playing at Trafford.

“He is the final piece of the jigsaw,” said chairman Toby Macormac.

Goalkeeper Tony McMillan, most recently at Stalybridge, and midfielder Eddie Toner – signed from Burscough – made their debut at Marston Road.

They were joined later by attacker Sam Ilesamni, a first-year professional at Tranmere.
