A FACEBOOK page created to capture every moment of Warrington Town’s unprecedented FA Cup run will live on despite the club’s exit from the competition.

The page was set up in the past week and includes recollections of matches and cherished moments along the way so far, as well as motivational videos to spur on the club.

The man behind the page, club steward Mark Stringfellow, who travelled to Gateshead on Sunday, confirmed that the page would live on to enable future generations to visit it.

“It is there forever now, people can go on it in years to come and see what the club achieved,” he said.

“It will be a page for anyone to visit to relive the whole journey all over again and to show their kids and grandkids.

“I wanted to put all of the memories in one place as there are lots of people posting stuff all over the place,” he said.

Having predicted a 3-1 victory for the visitors, Mark admitted it was a tough result to take but heaped praise on the Yellows for the impact they have made on the town.

“When I set it up I wanted to do it for Shaun and the boys - they have made this town come alive and everyone is buzzing about the football team,” he added.

“I have waited 30 years for this, ever since I played football at school.”

With over 300 'likes' already, Mark is urging more supporters to get involved and ‘like’ the page to help raise the awareness of it in spite of the cup defeat.
