EXETER City arrive in Warrington with ranks that include an FA Cup finalist and a man who once scored a hat-trick in seven minutes during an FA Cup tie.

Exeter City:

2. Danny Butterfield, aged 34. Right back, signed September 2013. Previous clubs: Carlisle United, Grimsby, Crystal Palace. Once scored a hat-trick in seven minutes for the Eagles in an FA Cup tie against Wolves in 2009-2010.

3. Craig Woodman, aged 31. Left back, signed July 2012. Previous clubs: Brentford, Bristol City, Wycombe Wanderers. Helped to secure Exeter’s survival last season, scoring a from spectacular indirect free kick in a 2-0 defeat of Scunthorpe United.

4. Scot Bennett, aged 23. Defender, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Debut season as captain, who has been employed in defence, midfield and up front for City since his first-team debut against Swindon Town in March 2011. Joint top scorer last season.

5. Pat Baldwin, aged 31 (32 next Wednesday). Centre half, signed permanent deal May 2012 after spell on loan from Southend United. Previous clubs: Southend United, Colchester United. London-born product of Chelsea’s youth academy, whose career took off after switching to Colchester.

6. Christian Ribeiro, aged 24. Defender, signed summer 2014. Previous clubs: Bristol City, Scunthorpe United. Hails from Neath and been capped twice by Wales. Stockport County among the clubs he has had loan spells with.

7. Liam Sercombe, aged 24. Midfielder, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Made more than 200 appearances for hometown club Exeter and is the longest serving player in the squad.

8. Matt Oakley, aged 37. Midfielder, signed summer 2012. Previous clubs: Leicester City, Southampton, Derby. An FA Cup runner-up in 2003 with Southampton (against Arsenal), for whom the Peterborough-born man played more than 300 games. Represented England U21s for times.

10. Jimmy Keohane, aged 22. Midfielder, signed August 2011. Previous clubs: Wexford Youths (Ireland), Bristol City. First match in English football came off the bench in a Carling Cup second-round tie against Liverpool. Represented Ireland five times at under 19s level.

11. Arron Davies, aged 30. Midfielder, signed in 2012. Previous clubs: Yeovil Town, Nottingham Forest, Peterborough, Northampton. Capped once by Wales, for whom he captained their U21s squad. His volleyed goal on the spin from a throw-in earned him the club’s Goal of the Year Award last season.

14. Matt Grimes, aged 19. Midfielder, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Player of the Year his last season, which was his maiden campaign in the first team featuring 37 appearances.

15. Jordan Moore-Taylor, aged 20. Defender, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Exeter born, established himself as a regular starter last season but an injury picked up in Brazil against Tupi during the club’s summer tour meant he missed the start of this season.

16. Aaron Dawson, aged 22. Defender, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. A midfielder by trade, his career kicked off when filling in at right back during 2012-13.

18. Jamie Reid, aged 20. Striker, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Called up for Northern Ireland U19s and U21s in 2013-14 but a groin injury curtailed his campaign and the start of 2014-15.

20. Tom Nicholls, aged 21. Striker, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Ended the 2013-14 season as joint top goal scorer with Scot Bennett, after having gain the call-up from the reserves due to impressive form.

21. James Hamon. Goalkeeper, signed September 2013. Guernsey born, kept the bench warm last season and awaiting his opening first-team action at the start of the 2014/15 campaign.

22. David Wheeler, aged 24. Midfielder/winger, signed August 2013. Previous clubs: Staines Town, Lewes. Graduated from Brunel University, London, with a degree in sports science in 2013. Top goal scorer and player of the season in each of his two campaigns with Staines in the Conference South.

25. Connor Riley-Lowe, aged 18. Defender, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Made his debut in a Capital One Cup tie against AFC Bournemouth in August. Regularly captained the under 18s during his academy days.

26. Jordan Tillson, aged 21. Defender, signed summer 2012. Previous club: Bristol Rovers. Became a regular in the rearguard at the start of the season following squad departures and injuries.

27. Matt Jay, aged 18. Striker, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Been in match-day squads this season after impressive pre-season form, including two goals in 30 minutes in a 7-0 win against Chippenham Town.

28. Jason Pope. Midfielder, product of Exeter youth system. Previous clubs: None. Awarded a professional contract upon graduating from the academy during the summer of 2014.

29. Ollie Watkins. Striker, product of Exeter youth system. In his first full season on a professional contract, though he made his debut in the final game of the 2013-14 campaign at Hartlepool.

30. Christy Pym, aged 19. Goalkeeper, product of Exeter youth system. Started the season as first-choice netminder after making nine appearances in his debut 2013-14 season. Also a key figure in the Grecians’ run to the quarter finals of the U21s Premier League Cup last season.

31. Graham Cummins, aged 29. Striker, signed summer 2014. Previous clubs: Preston North End, Rochdale (loan 2013-14), Cobh Ramblers, Waterford United, Cork City. Signed on the day the transfer embargo was lifted and made his debut in the Devon Derby at Plymouth the following day. Scored four goals in 27 games last season on loan with Rochdale.

Manager: Paul Tisdale, aged 41. Previous clubs as manager: Team Bath. Clubs as player: Southampton, Bristol City, FinnPa, Panionios, Yeovil Town, Exeter City. Been in charge of Exeter for seven years, making him the second longest serving boss in the Football League.
