Youth team reach cup final

A TERRIFIC performance from Rob Winrow in an unfamiliar number nine role helped Warrington Town's youth team through to the Neil Thomason Cup final at the expense of Nantwich.
Town's youngsters will go on to defend the trophy they won last year on Sunday, May 5, after Winrow helped his side open the scoring in the first minute after his cross was deflected into the Nantwich net.
He then grabbed one of his own to re-establish Town's one-goal advanatge, making Ryan Cunliffe's excellent interception to prevent an equaliser all the more important.
Town wrapped up the result on 68 minutes, when the ever-improving Chris Bandell put a delightful 20yard pass into the path of Wells for a calm finish and a 3-1 scoreline.
Town: Vaughan, Cunliffe, Chambers, Turner, Everson, Cook, Wells, Bibby, Winrow, Bandell (Glass 88), Bruce.
