Orford remain top of the pile

ORFORD continued their 100-percent start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Warrington and District Premier Division rivals St Michaels.

Orford stay top of the pile thanks to a brace from Lee, who latched on to work from Hayes, Smith, Hampton and Brown to slot home his two goals.

They did allow the hosts to grab one back to create a tense finale, but the league leaders held on to to ensure they stay ahead of the chasing pack before the visit of Haydock at Orford Hub on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
