Greenalls and Eagle keep the pace with Cheshire Football League leaders

GREENALLS PSO are hot on the heels of Cheshire Football League leaders Knutsford after recording their fourth consecutive win of the season against Warrington neighbours Grappenhall Sports.

PSO’s front man Lee Deakin grabbed a hat-trick in the 5-0 win, with Ben Slater and Alex Hardman also adding their names to the score sheet.

Deakin was at it again on Friday, when he grabbed one of Greenalls goals in their 2-2 draw with local rivals Eagle Sports, with Luke McCoy notching the other.

It completed a frustrating week for Eagle, who also lost a midweek game 4-2 to league leaders Knutsford, and Grappenhall, who nicked a point in an entertaining 4-4 draw with Gamesley.

Rylands finished 2-1 winners as they entertained Linotype CHN, drawing level through Scott Bakkor and finishing the comeback with a cool Pat Naughton finish deep into injury time.

In Division Two, Moore United fell 4-2 to Maine Road Reserves.

Greenalls are also looking like title contenders in the Reserve Division, completing their fourth win in four after goals from Paul Benns, two, Alex Hardman and Dan Wilcock helped them to a 4-1 win at Grappenhall Sports.

Eagle also have 12 points after a great start, as they beat Pilkington 3-0 thanks to goals from Daniel Burtham, two, and Lee Boardman to extend their unbeaten run.

Billinge and Rylands shared the points in a 3-3 draw.
