Schoolboys one step from national final

BOYS from schools in Warrington hope to play their part in helping Cheshire Schools FA’s under 16s boys’ team reach a national cup final this Saturday.

They host Durham in the English Schools’ FA’s Inter County Trophy last four at King’s School, Chester, kick off 2pm.

Oxfordshire await the victors.

Warrington’s six-strong contingent, consisting of James Baillie (Lymm), Joshua Brownhill (Birchwood), Joseph Newton (St Gregorys), Lloyd Pownall (William Beamont), Joseph Rhodes (Great Sankey) and Andrew Williams (Penketh), is the largest of the county’s constituent district FAs.
