THERE were two ‘derby’ clashes in the Cheshire League Premier Division on Tuesday, both of which ended in draws.

Rylands remain unbeaten after James Daniels’ late goal rescued a 1-1 draw with Warrington Town reserves at Gorsey Lane after Joe Coombs opened the scoring.

The scoreline was the same at Thornton Road as Greenalls PSO travelled to Eagle Sports, for whom Alex Brisco equalised after Steve Dowsett had put the visitors ahead.

Saturday’s action saw Rylands draw 1-1 at Altrincham reserves while Warrington Town reserves also shared the spoils and four goals with Poynton.

However, Eagle’s unbeaten start to the season ended on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at Rudheath Social.

In League One, Chris Lawlor scored twice as Daten’s unbeaten start to the season continued with a 4-0 thrashing of Lostock Gralam, with Adam McLoughlin and Jon Shakeshaft also on the scoresheet.

Tuesday’s League Two action saw Grappenhall Sports beaten 2-0 at Ford Motors, while a Daniel Hutchins strike for Orford could not prevent a 4-1 reverse at Vulcan.

Those two sides met on Saturday and Odilono Koubemba’s hat-trick helped Grappenhall to a 5-3 win over their neighbours.

Moore United were also big winners on Saturday as Matthew Arnold and Aron McGrath both hit trebles in a 9-4 win over Cuddington.
