RYLANDS boss Darren Davies hailed the impact of his substitutes as a 6-0 hammering of Rudheath Social kept up Rylands’ perfect start to the new Cheshire League Premier Division season.

Jordan Rigby scored a hat-trick having come off the bench midway through the second half, while fellow substitute Przemek Staniszewski joined him on the scoresheet.

Mark Keddie had broken the deadlock after the sides went in goalless at half time, with James Daniels also getting on the scoresheet.

“I thought we were excellent again in the second half after another frustrating first half performance,” Davies said.

“The substitutes changed the game for us and it speaks volumes about the strength of squad we’ve assembled this year being able to call on such quality to make an impact.

“It was also great to keep another clean sheet.”

Ben McWilliams had a goal ruled out for Blues in a below-par first-half display, while Daniels and Kris Bell also came close.

The breakthrough came after the break when Keddie finished well on the turn after good work from Bell to set him up.

Rigby and Staniszewski joined the fray in the 62nd minute and the latter dispatched a penalty to double the lead shortly afterwards.

Rigby did the same in the 77th minute before Daniels turned and fired into the bottom corner to make it 4-0.

Daniels’ cross was converted by Rigby at the far post before a well-placed finish allowed the substitute to complete his hat-trick in stoppage time.

Eagle Sports also made it two wins from two as they racked up an impressive 5-1 win at Poynton. Daniel Burthem scored twice and further goals came from Alex Brisco, Lee Boardman and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Greenalls PSO shared the spoils with Crewe FC, with Gavin Horner and Ryan Rowland on the scoresheet for Greens.

Warrington Town Reserves were well beaten, however, going down 4-0 at Denton Town.

In League One, Daten made it two wins from two after goals from Michael Sullivan, Anthony Davies and Dean Jennings secured a 3-2 win at Windle Labour.

Saturday’s games in League Two brought saw all three Warrington sides beaten, with Moore United losing 4-0 at Ford Motors and Grappenhall Sports being beaten 3-0 at home by Buxton Reserves.

Orford did at least get on the scoresheet through Thomas Hutchins, Daniel Hutchins and Keiron Bacon, but they could not prevent a 4-3 defeat at Broadheath Central.
