PERHAPS a football school would be handy for your kids during the summer holidays!

One option is that children in Warrington are being offered a Wigan Athletic experience.

The club’s community trust will be hosting schools at Birchwood Community High School.

Boys and girls between the ages of six to 14 will have the opportunity to practice, develop and improve their skills and techniques with qualified coaches.

Sessions will take place at the Brock Road school between 9am and 3.30pm from Monday, July 24 to Friday, July 28 as well as from Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 18, and cost just £8 per day.

Wes Partington, sports and cohesion manager at Wigan Athletic Community Trust, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer the young people of Warrington the chance to play football, socialise and meet new friends at our soccer schools this summer.”

The price for each week's place is £40 per child.
