PAUL Carden believes he will have “the best attack in the league” at his disposal for Warrington Town next season.

Experienced frontman Tony Gray has joined the club from Welsh Premier Division side Airbus UK to supplement a strike force that already includes Ruben Jerome and Dan Hattersley.

With further additions planned, Carden believes the goal-scoring problem that hampered Yellows last season is now solved and he is now focusing on other areas of the field.

“Its common knowledge that we lacked a finisher last season and Tony certainly is one,” he said.

“His record speaks for itself. Everywhere he’s been, he’s scored at a rate of pretty much one goal every other game.

“With Tony and probably one more coming in, along with Ruben and Dan Hattersley, I firmly believes we’ll have the best attack in the league next season.

“I’m really pleased with what we have done in that respect but we’ve still got work to do in other areas of the pitch.”

Midfielder Sean Williams has also committed his future to the club and Carden welcomed the 25-year-old’s decision.

“We didn’t lose too many games in which Willo played last year because he has that ability to pull the strings,” he said.

“If he’d have played half the games we missed, I’m sure we would have finished higher.

“We’re talking to a few midfield prospects so we’re hopefully of adding more players in the coming weeks.”

The club have also announced a pre-season supporters club meeting on Saturday, July 1, at the Warrington Town Sports & Social Club.

At the event, which begins at 1.30pm, season ticket details will be announced as well as the launch of the new kit and details on supporters club membership.

That will be followed by a question and answer session with Carden and club chairman Toby Macormac.
