EAGLE Sports moved further away from relegation trouble in the Cheshire League Premier Division with a 3-1 victory over Rudheath Social.

Alex Brisco bagged a brace for the hosts at Thornton Road, while Richard Chinn was also on the scoresheet to earn three precious points for Mark Boardman’s side.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, a depleted Rylands side earned a creditable 1-1 draw at title challengers Wythenshawe Town.

They held the lead at half time through David France’s goal, but they could not hold on to claim maximum points.

Greenalls PSO dropped further towards the relegation places as they were beaten 4-0 at Altrincham Reserves.

In League One, Dylan Glass scored twice as leaders Warrington Town Reserves won 3-1 at Halebank, with substitute Brad Parker getting the other goal.

They also recorded a 3-0 win over Golborne Sports on Tuesday.

Daten could not gain a similar result as they were beaten 2-0 by title-chasing Billinge.

The Guardian Cup takes centre stage this weekend, with Rylands taking on Warrington and District Division Four side Burtonwood Albion for a place in the final.

In the other last four tie, Greenalls PSO will be hoping to avoid a shock when they host Daten.
