WARRINGTON’S football teams will be hoping the weather does not take hold for a third straight weekend as they gear up for their latest fixtures.

The latest estimates show that temperatures in the Warrington area should not dip below freezing overnight, raising hopes of fixtures being fulfilled.

Paul Carden’s Warrington Town side will be looking to stay in touch with the play-off pack in the Evo-Stik Premier Division when they welcome struggling Sutton Coldfield Town to Cantilever Park, kick off 3pm.

In the Cheshire League, Rylands travel to bottom side Garswood United in the Premier Division, while Eagle Sports’ recent resurgence faces its toughest test with a trip to high-flying Knutsford, with both games kicking off at 2pm.

Greenalls PSO are in Guardian Cup action this weekend as they travel to Blackbrook in the third round, kick off 2pm.

League One sees Warrington Town reserves looking to continue their relentless march towards promotion with a trip to Golborne Sports, while Daten are also on the road at Pilkington. Bottom side Grappenhall Sports are in CCFA Amateur Cup action away at Poynton, all games 2pm kick off.

League Two side Moore United are also in Guardian Cup action as they host Halton Borough, while Orford host Winstanley Warriors.
