WARRINGTON Town chairman Toby Macormac has hinted at squad changes to come now that the new management set-up is complete.

Craig Robinson completes the new look, the former Yellows player today being appointed assistant manager to new boss Paul Carden.

Another ex-Town player Mark Beesley arrived alongside Carden last Wednesday as the new first-team coach.

Carden and Beesley were in the dugout for the first time on Saturday when the Yellows fell 2-0 at home to Nantwich Town in the FA Trophy.

They handed debuts to former Stalybridge centre back Kristian Platt and ex-Altrincham striker Danny Hattersley.

Their first game as a managment trio, which replaces the double act of Stuart Mellish and Lee Smith, will be the trip to Stafford Rangers in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division on Saturday.

Centre-half Robinson, who hangs up his boots at Trafford to take up the role at Cantilever Park, holds legendary status at the club having scored the goal which knocked full-time professionals Exeter City out of the FA Cup in front of the Match of the Day cameras in 2014.

Macormac said: "Craig is the final piece of the jigsaw with our staff changes and one which will add further leadership and knowledge at our level of the game.

"With all the management team now in place we can now push forward and make any necessary changes to the line-up to take us forward and hopefully make up some ground to achieve a play-off position come April.

"There is still a lot of football to be played this season."

Town's home league game against Blyth Spartans tomorrow, Tuesday, has been postponed due to the north east side having an FA Trophy replay tie.
