Croft 2 Moore United 3

MATTHEW Bush’s late strike ensured Moore’s place in the last-16 of the Guardian Cup at the expense of Croft.

Joseph Holt put the visitors ahead, but Callum Douglas equalised for the Warrington and District League side.

Holt again had Moore in front but Croft came back again and Adam Jackson equalised before the break.

However, there was one final twist as Bush grabbed the winner with just eight minutes left for Moore, who host Unicorn on Saturday.

Eagle Sports 5 West Garth 1

EAGLE’S revival continued as they hammered West Garth in the Guardian Cup second round.

Owen Ellis struck twice at Thornton Road on Saturday as the hosts progressed to the last 16.

Lee Boardman, Adam Coleman and Adam Deakin were the other goalscorers for Eagle, who return to league action at Crewe FC on Saturday looking for a third consecutive victory.

They still sit bottom of the Cheshire League’s top flight but could overtake Malpas with a win.

Greenalls PSO 2 Hatton Albion 1

GREENALLS joined their Cheshire League rivals in the last-16 of the Guardian Cup as they edged past Hatton Albion.

The visitors ply their trade in Division Two of the Warrington and District League but they pushed their higher-ranked hosts all the way.

Greenalls eventually made it through, though, thanks for goals from Ben McWilliams and Glen Percival.

Greenalls travel to title-chasing Linotype Cheadle on Saturday.
